About Me…
Qari Is’Haaq is the founder of the National Huffadh Association UK (The UK’s largest umbrella body for those who have memorised the Qur’an). He memorised the Qur’an aged 11 at the Quwwatul Islam Masjid in East London. He furthered his Qur’an studies in Egypt, Morocco and Jordan. Also, Qari Is’Haaq represented the UK in an international Qur’an competition held in Amman (Jordan) in 2012.
Qari Is’Haaq has successfully completed an LLB (Hons) Law degree at the University of East London and undertook the Legal Practice Course at Leeds Metropolitan University. He is a qualified Solicitor by profession and thereafter, completed his teacher training course at the University of East London in 2016 to be accredited with a Qualified Teacher Status. Furthermore, Qari Is’Haaq successfully completed the National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership in 2021 and has 7 years+ experience in leading a range of Humanities departments. Currently, he is the Head of Religious Education and Deputy Faith Lead at the Eden Girls Waltham Forest in East London.
Qari Is’Haaq has also been serving as a part-time Imam at the London Islamic Cultural Society in North London for eight years. He has also been invited to lead the Taraweeh prayers in Jordan, India, Morocco & Germany. Furthermore, he has taken part in various International Qur’aan Competitions around the world, notably in: Egypt, Jordan and Morocco, in which he has represented the UK.
He has deep passion and love for The Qur’aan and is always involved in organising Qiraa’ah events in London with International Reciters. He is a TV personality too; Qari Is’Haaq appears regularly on the Recite! show on Islam Channel, one of the judges for Eman Channel Ramadan Juz Amma Competition and was one of the head Judges for the IQRA TV ‘Q Factor’ National Qur’aan Competition. He is actively involved in organizing and judging other Qur’aan competitions across the UK. He has also recently established Quraan Movement UK, which is an online platform, aimed at involving youngsters and spreading the love of Qur’an.
Qari Is’Haaq has authored three books: 365 Tips To Help You Memorise The Qur’an, 365 Tips To Help You Teach The Qur’an and most recently, My Quran Journal which has been published just before Ramadan in 2023.
